Artists

They are Artists. Their connection to life, their existence, their reality, is like no other. Their ability to call up a tool, the precisely most proper tool for the situation, is a skill like no other.
I've tried to understand their reality, tried to understand from their perspective what their past must have been like to elevate them to their level but with absolutely no desire at all to emulate their reality. Their ability to totally control all aspects of the reality of others must be one of the greatest skills known to mankind. To observe from a distance without a direct connection, one may think that these artists are exceptional individuals.
But how should I react to their work? How should I respond to or deal with or communicate with these artists? I want to be equal with them, to be accepted by them and to accept them but repeatedly I find that I am no match, not even in the same league. How can I deal with skills like these? How should I deal with skills like these?
After twenty years of experience I'm beginning to wonder whether I've received the training I need to be like them. I wonder whether I'll ever be an equal. I wonder whether I'll ever be crazy, too.
