Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tomato soup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 pinch dried mustard
  • 1 lb dry beans
  • 1/2 lb bacon

Instructions

  1. Soak beans overnight
  2. Cook for 30 minutes
  3. Mix other ingredients and add to beans
  4. Bake in 325 degree oven for 4 - 5 hours

Mom writes on the recipe card that 4-5 hours is too long for her stove so check beans at 4 hours to be sure they don't get too dry. Adjust bake time as needed.

Terra said that 2-3 hours in a crock pot works well.
