Ingredients

Egg Foo Yong

  • 1 cup Ham, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 3 tbsp green onion tops chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • oil for frying

Gravy

  • 1 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp molasses
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions

Egg Foo Yong

  1. Put ham, onion, bean sprouts, green onion tops, soy sauce and salt into bowl; mix well.
  2. Stir eggs lightly into mixture
  3. Pour 1/4 cup mixture into hot oil, about 1/2 inch deep. Flatten cake to 1/2 inch thickness.
  4. Cook until they rise to the top, then turn to brown on other side.
  5. Drain and serve hot with sauce. Makes 4 cakes.

Gravy

  1. Heat stock with molasses and soy sauce.
  2. Combine cornstarch with cold water; stir until smooth.
  3. Let come to a boil and cook until thickened
