German Potato Salad

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/4 lb bacon
- 1/4 cup bacon drippings
- 4 cups potatoes, cooked and diced
Instructions
- Cool potatoes in boiling water until firm (about 15 minutes). Cool.
- Cook bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside. Reserve bacon fat.
- Mix sugar, flour, salt and pepper. Then mix vinegar, water and bacon fat.
- Mix all ingredients except bacon and potatoes together and cook for 5 minutes or until thick
- Add bacon and potatoes. Stir until coated.
- Cook until heated.
- Serve warm.
