Linda's Apple Pie

This traditional apple pie has a top crust.

Total Time 1 hour 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts
  • 7 cups apples, sliced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter for top crust

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients into apples
  3. Placed one pie crust into a greased 9" pie pan
  4. Pour bowl contents onto crust
  5. Cover with second crust
  6. Brush top crust with milk, cinnamon & sugar
  7. Dot top crust with small pieces of butter

Notes

I use half Granny Smith apples and half another baking apple
