Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Karo Dark Corn Syrup
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup pecans (6 oz)
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) pie shell

Instructions

  1. Stir the first 5 ingredients thoroughly using a spoon. Mix in pecans.
  2. Pour into pie crust.
  3. Bake on center rack of oven for 60 to 70 minutes.
  4. Cool for 2 hours.

  • Pie is done when the center reaches 200 degrees. Tap center surface of pie lightly; it should spring back when done. For easy cleanup, spray pie pan with cooking spray. If pie crust is over-browning, cover edges with foil
  • Consider using walnuts instead of pecans.
  • Add two tablespoons bourbon.
