Pickled Eggs

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper -- chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrot sticks
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp whole pepper
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring vinegar, sugar, water, and dash of salt to a boil.
  2. To boil eggs that don't turn green, put eggs from refrigerator in cold water in a kettle. Bring to a boil. boil 3 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes in the same water. Put in sink and cool with cold water, then peel.
