Baked Lima Beans
These are great with ham, or really just by themselves. Of course, limas are my favorite of all things! My Nanny made them every Thursday when I was in grade school. I remember walking home for lunch - couldn't wait to walk in the door on Tenth Street and smell them!! This is a little souped-up version. Hers were very basic soaking the beans the night before, and so forth...

Ingredients
- 4 cans butter beans
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Heat beans in a saucepan.
- Cut butter in chunks and add to hot beans.
- Stir in sugar, molasses and salt to taste.
- Fold sour cream carefully into beans.
- Turn into casserole and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
