Popovers

There are so many ways to make pop-overs, but this seems to work best for me. There's nothing better with homemade soup than a couple of hot pop-overs!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly, without overbeating. In other words, A few lumps are just fine.
  2. Half fiII buttered muffin tins or a popover pan. Custard cups work equally well.
  3. Put them in a COLD oven and turn oven to 450 degrees.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees, and bake for 15 - 20 minutes.
