Scalloped Potatoes
They do go great with meatloaf, but are equally as good with baked ham - as our Christmas dinners testify!This recipe is for an ordinary-sized casserole. Suit the amount of potatoes to fill the casserole.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 6 good-sized potatoes - baking ones don't work as well.
- butter
- flour
- salt and pepper
- milk
Instructions
- Peel and slice a layer of potatoes into a greased casserole.
- Dot with butter and sprinkle with about 2 tbsp. of flour.
- Salt and pepper.
- Repeat layers to the top of the casserole.
- Add milk until you can just see it coming to the top of the potatoes.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake at 375 degrees for a good hour.

I sometimes place a piece of foil under the casserole in case it bubbles over.
