Sour Cream Coffee Cake

This is great any time you want to eat it - not only for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 5 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together well.
  2. Topping
  3. In a separate bowl mix:
  4. cup brown sugar
  5. 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  6. cup chopped walnuts
  7. 1 tbsp melted butter
  8. Grease and flour an angel food cake pan (a bundt cake pan works as well).
  9. Put 1/3 of batter in the bottom of the pan, 1/3 of the topping over that.
  10. Repeat the layers, ending with the topping.
  11. Pour melted butter over all.
  12. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
