Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 green peppers
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 tbls salt
  • 1 1/2 can tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Cook celery and onion in shortening until soft. Add the meat.
  3. Cook until pink disappears, stirring to separate meat particles.
  4. Cut off a slice of green pepper lenghwise, remove the seeds, parboil for 6 minutes, then drain.
  5. Add the noodles, seasonings and 1/2 can of tomato soup to meat.
  6. Stuff the peppers. Arrange in greased baking dish.
  7. Bake about 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
  8. Pour on the can of tomato soup 15 minutes before removing from oven.
